Family Support
We are here to help — long-term care for families who need food, shelter, dignity, and a fresh start.
Standing with families
A monthly donation lets KIWS plan ahead and support a family for as long as help is needed. Since 2012, more than 1,300 families in India have received assistance — including groceries for over a year and sewing machines for widows with children.
The Society has helped hundreds of girls from poor families with wedding support, and in England has helped dozens of divorced or widowed women with two or three children to remarry and rebuild happier lives. Needy families in the UK also receive food and clothes.
KIWS supports Sikh camps across the UK and distributes Punjabi learning books. Every November, during Guru Nanak Prakash celebrations in Pakistan, the Society helps around 50 families, widows, and divorced women.
This work continues with the blessings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the ten Gurus, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, and the Sadh Sangat around the world.
